Affiliation Policy
Institutional Affiliation Policy
The Journal of Computational Informatics and Business (JCIB) requires all authors to provide accurate, complete, and verifiable institutional or organizational affiliation details at the time of manuscript submission.
This policy is designed to uphold academic integrity, ensure transparency, prevent conflicts of interest, and accurately represent each author’s professional background.
Institutional Affiliation
Each author must clearly state their institutional affiliation, including:
- Name of the institution
- Department, faculty, or research center (if applicable)
- City and country
The corresponding author must also provide a primary institutional affiliation along with valid contact information, which will be used for all editorial communications.
Multiple Affiliations
Authors with more than one institutional affiliation must:
- List all affiliations separately
- Use superscript numbers to link authors with their respective affiliations
- Ensure clarity and consistency in formatting
Collaborating authors from the same institution may list the affiliation once, where appropriate.
Affiliation at the Time of Research
Authors must report the affiliation that was valid at the time the research was conducted.
If an author has changed affiliation after completing the research:
- The current affiliation may be included
- A brief note should indicate the change in affiliation
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
All authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including but not limited to:
- Financial relationships
- Consultancy roles
- Institutional or professional associations related to the research
Full disclosure ensures transparency and maintains the credibility of the publication process.
Non-Institutional Affiliations
Authors who are not formally affiliated with an academic or research institution (e.g., independent researchers or consultants) must:
- Clearly state their professional designation
- Provide relevant organizational or professional details
This ensures proper identification and recognition.
Acknowledgment of Institutional Support
Any form of institutional, financial, or research support must be properly acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section of the manuscript.
Policy Statement
This policy promotes clarity, accountability, and professionalism in reporting author affiliations, reinforcing the trust, transparency, and integrity of JCIB’s publication process.
