Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Computational Informatics and Business (JCIB) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and ethical publishing.
In this process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous, promoting fairness, objectivity, and impartial evaluation of submitted manuscripts.
Review Process
- Each submitted manuscript is initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial team for:
- Scope and relevance to the journal
- Originality and quality of research
- Compliance with submission and ethical guidelines
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field.
- Reviewers provide constructive, unbiased, and confidential feedback to help improve the manuscript.
Review Timeline and Decision
- Authors can expect initial feedback typically within 3–4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability.
- Editorial decisions are based solely on:
- Scientific merit
- Originality
- Clarity and organization
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Possible decisions include:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
Revision and Re-Review
- Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
- Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments clearly and systematically.
Editorial Oversight and Ethics
The editorial board ensures that the peer review process is
- Transparent and timely
- Free from bias or conflict of interest
- Conducted in accordance with COPE ethical guidelines
Any breach of review ethics (e.g., confidentiality violations or manipulation) will be treated as misconduct.
Confidentiality
- All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents.
- Reviewers must not share or use unpublished material for personal advantage.
