The  Journal of Computational Informatics and Business (JCIB)  prioritizes the long-term digital preservation and accessibility of its scholarly content. The journal ensures that all published materials remain permanently accessible to the global research community.

To achieve this, JCIB utilizes trusted digital archiving systems and preservation strategies.

Archiving Platforms

Internet Archive

The Internet Archive deposits all published articles, along with their metadata.
This ensures that content remains accessible even in the event of website disruption or discontinuation. The Internet Archive provides secure, publicly accessible, and distributed preservation.

PKP Preservation Network (PN)

AMR also preserves its content through the PKP Preservation Network (PN), which operates on the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) principle.

This decentralized system ensures long-term preservation by storing content across multiple global nodes, guaranteeing continued access even if the journal ceases publication.

Data Standards and Integrity

  • All articles are stored in standard digital formats (e.g., PDF).
  • Metadata is managed using internationally recognized standards such as Dublin Core.
  • The editorial team ensures regular deposits, verification, and periodic audits to maintain data integrity and accessibility.

Policy Maintenance

This policy is publicly available on the journal’s website and is reviewed periodically to align with evolving digital preservation standards.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Policy

Each article published in JCIB is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure:

  • Permanent accessibility
  • Accurate citation
  • Global discoverability

DOIs are registered and managed through CrossRef, ensuring persistent linking to each article’s online location.

All metadata updates and hosting changes are synchronized with CrossRef in accordance with International DOI Foundation (IDF) standards.

Author Self-Archiving Policy

In line with its Open Access principles, JCIB encourages authors to disseminate their research widely through self-archiving.

Permitted Version for Archiving

Authors may freely share the final published version of their article immediately upon publication.

All articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted sharing and reuse with proper attribution.
